When it comes to storing your linen, we all seem to have the same problem.  The linen closet is too small and there is just no way to get everything in, expecially when winter is over and we have extra blankets and duvets to pack away.  That’s when linen storage comes into its own and finding innovative ways to deal with it will make your home much tidier and easier to handle.

Storage boxes are the perfect solution for those with limited space.  There are two distinct designs available at the moment.  The rigid plastic, wicker or mesh designs that can be stacked in cupboards or placed under the bed or the collapsible or canvas versions that stow away easily when not in use.

When storing items such as heavy blankets and duvets that are not going to be used again for some time, it’s best to store them in a plastic bag that will protect them from the elements as well as bugs and insects.  The plastic designs that look like suit cases are the best and because they are made from plastic, you can see exactly what is packed in each of the bags.

For items that you are going to be using regularly such as bed linen and towels, you’ll want something that is easy to get in and out of.  The collapsable boxes are great as they can be stacked on shelves and will keep your linen and towels tidy until you need them.  You can also label these boxes which means knowing exactly what is in each.  Some of the stackable versions allow for a small window in the front, so that you can see what is inside.
